What ever it was it is clearly shot. It doesn't look like it just blew up on its own. They are already spraying why would they add an orb to the spray? Could chem trails help the DoD to identify these objects in order to target them? Like laying a grid that gives you a standard return to your sensors but other objects standout. It looks like you witnessed the destruction of a craft of some sort. Whatever was used to destroy it is a very high velocity projectile, possibly from a rail gun. Just my thoughts.
The "needle" is carried in the device. Is fired with a barometric pressure switch. Describe to me a simpler cheaper way of dispensing a fine particulate, a wet one. If I were designing a bioweapon perhaps I would test it with some disease I can track. Thoughts?
